Then September 11th changed the way many of us thought about traveling. We wanted a sense of security. Now as we are in the first quarter of 2021, COVID is still affecting the way we travel. Travel advisors are starting to get recognition for how helpful they were when the pandemic shut down tourism last spring. There were horror stories of those who had to cancel their own trips by waiting on hold for hours with online-based companies and vendors they booked on their own.
Not all travel agencies are alike. Two years ago, The Travel Agent, Inc. changed the business model to make it our primary focus to create a trusting relationship with our clients. We don’t want to be an agency that you walk in to say this is what you want as if you are walking into a fast-food restaurant. We want to create a customized experience for you. Our DASH club was started so we could create a relationship outside of “business” to get to know our clients on a personal level. It helps that we all have the passion to travel and that is what brings us together!
Our process is simple.
1) Call or go to our website to request an appointment
2) Have the discovery meeting with an advisor. It can be done in person, over the phone, or video chat. It is a meeting so we can get to know you, learn your travel style, and give you some additional information about The Travel Agent and how your advisor works for you!
3) When you are ready to start the planning process, we have you sign an agreement and pay our non-refundable professional fee. Then the advisor works with you creating a customized itinerary that fits your needs best!
4) Go on your trip and have a great time!
